How about having a strategy which boosts the income of your initial pick by 2x so you can build more trans and in the same time reducing the range of all units by 1... Now lets compare it to imp...

Would you rather have
-1 atk and -30 cost for all units or
2x income in your initial country but -1 range for all troops?

Interesting idea for sure, range nerfs are common and annoying though, maybe if you just got rid of critical chance and keep attack nerf?

Sounds like one hell of an unbalanced strategy, which will lead to another 4 years loads of threads with complaints about thread nerfs and boosts.

But hey, this game needs some more drama, so sure why not

It really depends but at least the strat isn't op. The only buff i would suggest is... not nerfing the transports' range by 1

The way you compared Imp and this strat is counterproductive to your point.

On Imperialist, the lower cost of troops makes up for the lowered attack, since you'll be able to spam more. Not sure how the increased income in the initial country makes up for the lowered range.

Of course, if you think about it more, you'd realize the 2x income means you can build more transports. If you had added "2x income so you can build more transports," then your argument becomes easier to understand. It' might be too late now since most people have already visited the thread once, made up their minds about the idea, and probably wont revisit.

If you're serious about this idea, you need to market yourself better.

The majority of people that visited this thread are r8 +. If you are implying that r8s + can't understand the reason behind the 2x income then they are plebs, no offense to the plebs. They need to train more I think.

Though you are right, it should be there just in case low ranked players do not fully understand the concept, you are right.

For example : in Eu 3k duel Serbia has clear advance on other picks, usually Hungary and Austria that have reniforments like Serbia yet their income is higher and leave you with less money for early expansion.

One of the richest countries.

Fra UK Turk would become too op....
France and UK would be able to fund smth like 5k total t3 and still be holding.

Imagine the 100 tank rush turk could do with that.
Or even LB turk rushing berlin

At least its original, good idea.
