Why is repping important?

Unlike SP, reps have no value. Why do you think it's important to receive and give reps?

In theory reps are a nice things and also very valueable,
BUT

unfortunally too many abuse them and farm them, what made them totally lose their value. I mean there are players with not much reps who are very good, helping in the community, ... On the other hand there are players who noone knows, are no good players but they have lots of reps, just because they ask everyone: Rep for Rep?

If you have an suggestion for Anti-Rep farming strategy, then i am open to hear it.

Currently got already changed that you need to be rank 2 to rep someone, but still

Having low rep is a syndrome. LOW REP SYNDROME!

Rep mattered but only when I was #1

btw. goddamit i already proposed before that you need to fill out a form if you want to rep someone idea. NOt ahuge one ...simple form

This would make people rep only does who they really respect and will give out their few seconds of time ...i know i would.

Dude, Safari & Goblin guys , the cant rep from the same IP address is a genius thing!!! It won't completely stop rep farming but it will stop ppl from making alts and reaching rank 2 and repping etc... and continually doing that.. ban rep farming, if someone asks rep for rep in lobby he gets a penalty, for example maybe he loses 10 of his current reps if he does that, or a mute, or anything.

Technically reps are useless, but some players value them. Thats why rep may appear somewhat important.

Reps give a semi-accurate view over well known and popular peopole, like death, Tik Tok, Tito, pretty much all the mods, fruit, etc etc, however somethimes i run into a rnk 9 who i have never seen before, and who has very low rep..

it has a bit of value, but more like a popularity meter

Maybe. Too bad people rep farm. Death has his rep because of farming. But there's also something that people are not aware of. If you play scenarios you'll get high rep. Fruit had a high rep way before in old AW, now he doesn't get new reps anymore.

This is true ...people tend to rep their allies. Players who dont have alot of allies or play 1v1 all the time rarely get reped -.-

I actually tend to get more reps from people that I've killed than allies, but I suppose that might be because I kill more people than I ally. I get friended by people I allied, but almost never get a new rep.

I never repped anyone and never felt the need to receive it. Yet, somehow I have 180 or something. No idea where from, did all the people who hate me give me a rep each?

Rep is pointless... Why the hell are you arguing about it, rep isnt an indicator of anything from the way its abused.
