Lol no, that's radiated town in Ukraine. But yes all cities look alike in North Asia and East Europe, from Latvia to Tajikistan.

Tbh, there is this map in cod 4 and MWR, in pripiyat with that ferris wheel etc, and I really love those big ass flatt buildings.

It looked like this in the picture, does every city look like this? Because if I imagine russia or ukraine, this is the image I get lol... idk why perhaps bcs of the maps in the game.

Yes, alot of places look like this (minus lenin's statue). Flat buildings surrounding park for children. Usually 4 buildings surround the park, which is in the center. So children from those appartments can go outsiide and play. But problem occured after 90's when system crashed, now it's not safe anymore for little children to play alone there, and older children drink alcohol and smoke there, deep into the night, making noise and sometimes destroyed windows, which create stress and fear for citizens. Some of neighbors are doctors and dentists for example, so imagine they have operation tomorrow and they can't get a good night sleep to rest. Some lives depend on those doctors and little idiotic children can mess that up indirectly.

I also lived in such appartment block (until 1 year ago when i bought a farm), it was unbearable to sleep at night from the noise they make. Many times i go downstair and chase them away, but they return later and continue. Police don't care, no matter how many times you call them and make a complaint, and you are not allowed to create community police because that's considered 'rioting mob'.

Before that, during Soviet Union, it was nice place, children were educated and had good upbringing, they didn't make trouble, and even if they did, police did their work. Even neighbors were friendly, drinking coffee. Now new generations there behave like animals.

Lenin Statues were usually places in city main park, infront museum and railway station, not near appartment block buildings. And when it was, it was usually just the head and shoulders, not whole body.

Interestingly enough, i saw only 2 Stalin's statues in my life, and i wish there was more, he had moustaches and looked normal. No one likes bald people.with goatee.

I like American style urbanization: tall buildings in the city center (downtown) for office space, and the rest is endless sight of average homes with little backyard. I think that's most economical and ecological. (imagine that in Germany where every city center have a castle from middle ages lol)

What's Holland urbanization style like?

Do you have small homes, large ones, do you have upper floors or you like single-floor homes? Straight angles or castle-like streets? Any laws about building's height, space limitations?

I shouldn't say this,have to protect the honor and prestige of the Motherland, but one Russian who moved to Sweden during 90's afte USSR collapse, started to build a home without a local authorities license. Police arrived to check, they asked for permit and obviously this guy didn't had, so they arrested him and put on trial. Judge was confused, because he never heard of such case before, it was impossible. He looked through Swedish laws, but found nothing about how to punish a crime like that. he asked the Russian why he did it, and he replied 'its normal, i don't care', so instead prison, judge sent him to the mental hospital.

If i was Swedish i would promote this judge to attorney general. Best sentence ever, don't punish, but send to mental hospital to check why criminal break laws. Do a lobotomy on him.

These buildings are surrounded by parks, a lot of shopping centers, schools and a lot of services.

Don't trust new buildings, they look good from outside, but are 'rotten' from the inside. They use plastic plumbing and cheap cables to save money. Electric devices thus catch fire easier and more often and plumbing break and leak whole appartment. Not to mention mixed paintings they buy from suspicious sources, cheaper because it have cheaper chemicals in it to make more quantity of paint, which then they paint your room when you seat for few hours and inhale those toxic chemicals.

Old buildings are way better, better resources used, chemicals are made by better recepees. Maybe they look ugly, but their purpose is not for show and tell.

For todays circumstances, houses are better choice than flats, houses are easier to check for quality and you can make all the changes you want.

Most of these buildings are old and need to be repaired urgently (however unless there are important elections nobody gives shit about that) , so in these old buildings unless you make total repair, it's not the best place to live.
