Well I first asked for ELO 1,5 years ago of course I am MORE THAN GLAD that we finally got it. <3

So what's wrong with having points for duels in old AW?

Well, technically, duels work the same now, just the way the results are calculated has changed.

Over time it may balance anyway, it's just a feeling I have. ELO gives 1v1 and dueling a whole new dimension, I think former duels shouldn't count here.
Besides that: I don't want to sound ungrateful but showing one's ELO on the profile-page and on the 'in-game-profile-card' would be awesome. This way it would be easier to set up duels in the future because players wouldn't have to search for an enemy in the whole userlist to see how many points they would win/lose.

Elo's already shown in the profile page on the website and we're planning to add it to the in-game popup thing too (soon!).

I like the system but im not so sure if i like the fact that ranks don't matter anymore in duels. :/ There is no more reward for dueling someone higher ranking then you. Sure there is the fact that you win more rating by dueling someone with higher elo rating, but still people can boost up their ratings by fighting low ranks.

That's how ELO works, it's independent of ranks. The whole point is that you'll get much less points for duelling someone with lower ELO than you.

And what is ELO?

You have a flawed perception of what ELO signifies compared to SP, SP is time spent playing while ELO after a few matches will display true skill.
Example: zizou makes 4 man walls, #2 SP, if he duelled he'd have under 1000 ELO.
Old system was far from fair, example Oslo, VRIL's second account. Also the SP that you say matters losing 100 doesn't matter at all.

No one will duel the perceived top players. The system is flawed - it will fail. ELO must be mandatory in all games unless turned off for it to have any success in whatever the fuck this game is called now.

Cow just wants to get rid of all the duels sixstar lost. (his account was sixstars's before him)
