I cant wait till the day this game dies so the mods can go and put on their job application they were a moderator for a game with the community equivalent of 4chan.

There is no ownership of a thread, if the moderator deems a post to be innapropriate to either the community or the game, they are entitled to do as they see fit, should they believe the thread to be detremental to the game. There is little point in relying on inconsistencies' in moderator action as each moderator is different and their actions will be based on experiences relating to their own background. This includes autoplay feature, with this possibly having a negative affect on the game and user experience the mod in question is quite within their rights to remove AutoPlay, without explanation or any editing of the rules, as the rules which exist are sufficiant

I'd rather not enter into this, but I believe that this could have been done better. Gotta clarify that I'm not telling anyone how to do their job though - just a couple of things that could have led this to a better way. Behind said, as spectator I sense no willingness from either side to solve this case, but specially mods should'be the first interested when it comes to solve community problems, to talk, to find a peaceful and mutually beneficial solution. Mods should acknowledge when to secede, to seek for community's victories rather than their own victory. Why I do I say this? I believe making a post like "we can carry this on further in private..." instead of straight going to PM the player shows unwillingness to solve the problem. Its more like a "I'll have the last word" statement. I've see this behavior from many mods. I'm not sure if you guys feel that taking the first step will make you look soft or weaker - it won't. The comment was just counter-productive. Another thing is that, to my believe, mods powers should always be a last resort option. Going straight to warn someone in an attempt to show "authority" will only make it harder to get the problem solved. This isn't a dictatorship. You can't infuse us terror. If you're trying to make the people respect you because they fear your power then this is the wrong place. Not only it won't solve the problem, but will most likely (and unnecessarily) escalate it to admin's hands, which (again) doesn't do any help. Disqualifying martell's word because "he is a troll" is a classical example of ad Hominem. Now I know that there are mods (not necessary implying someone) which believes that their job is to boss around the community. In their world, the whole community is full of trolls and is their duty to mod them around. Their actions are always right, and they don't have to listen to the players because they're an authority. They just go and impose order. As long as theses type of mods exists, the community will maintenance it's toxiness. Toxic mods will only generate more dust and anger.
