Norway, because:

- Mixed economy (state can own companies although it is not socialist, usually strategic resources like oil, gas, gold, uranium)
- Multi-party system (people choose politicians)
- Protectionism (state raise taxes and tariffs to protect certain branches of economy and keep social, economic and financial stability)
- Welfare state (universal healthcare and social help funded through taxes)

Result: 1# state

I might add that Government should work on:

- combination of service-oriented manufacturing
- research and development spending
- links between industry and academia
- international cooperation
- mittelstand (supporting small private companies and family business)


Because it contribute to the overall competitiveness of the economy.

Unfortunately the closest you get to my values is Nazi Germany... ( Pre-war )

Denmark? An aggressive social policy fueled by highly progressive tax rates. Reasonable standards of immigration and radical progressivism (it's not radical Sweden, but it's not hyper-conservative Hungary either).

It's also rich. Rich is always good.

I like how society was set up in pre-WW1 Germany. It was progress minded in the sense that the sciences, philosophies and arts were held in much higher regard than they are nowadays.
It's true that it was quite militaristic, but a doctor or a professor was held in just as high regard as a captain or even general depending on his expertise. During it's brief existance, the second German Empire was awarded more Nobel prizes than Britain, France, Russia, and the United States combined. Profound cultural achievements were created, instead of just mass-produced to be consumated. It was probably the most productive and fruitful period in German history, scientific and culutral output was enormous.

I like Thailand. On average the military has a coup once a decade. I'm neither confirming nor denying that coups are good or bad, just sayin in today's ambivalence toward politics, maybe a coup once in awhile will make people more informed <3

Canada is at heart a dictatorship, with so many layers of velvet lining over the iron fist, it almost tickles when you get slapped, so who would leave? But once you get through all the fluff, you still have no rights here. Just ask our first nations people, and any mother or father who has tried to see their own son or daughter once the state gets involved and decides to destroy things (freedom of association violations.)
