Typed a huge response to your idiotic claims ...then deleted because there is no point, you were a dumbass in the 90's and you are still a dumbass. Croatian army had thousands of Serbs fighting for their Croatian country against the puppet JNA and chetnik paramilitaries ...smart Serbs who didnt fall under Serbian goverment lies, propaganda and chauvinism. And does who came to fight against the supposed "croatian fascists" in Croatia ...there are videos of them admiting they were lied to and decieved. o7 Now lets allow people to discuss WW1 because this is the topic.

The Balkans are the powder keg of Europe, and has been one since the Ottomans conquered it. Let's... just leave it at that, shall we? To paraphrase Bismark, the next war in Europe will start from some damn stupid thing in the Balkans.

I would rather say, it has become a powder keg at the moment ottoman rule ended in the balkans.

Well, if Bulgaria expelled 800,000 Turks from their territory, I'd be rather concerned about the state of the Bulgarian leadership. But then again, it's that old debate again. Which is superior, national sovereignty or humanitarianism? I vote national sovereignty -- within limits. I mean, I don't see anyone complaining about the 1945 Czechoslovak expulsion of over a million Germans. In fact, I happen to fully agree with that expulsion. But I also believe that it is the natural right of every person to not be arbitrarily deprived of residency. Such expulsion is only acceptable if some other country is willing to take them.
