How does one "delete" something?

You can't logically turn something into nothing, matter always stays some form of matter...this also applies to computers' and the Internet, doesn't it? If I were to delete a post, where would it go? A secret forum that only Admins can access? A black hole? /b/? Where do the posts' go!

Nope, its wiped off the server. the data is changed so the original data you had doesnt exist in the form it used to.

If the laws of conservation of matter applied to the internet then the internet would be blank. The laws say that you cannot destroy or CREATE matter so if it applied to the internet there would have been no way the create the billions of websites that exist today... including this very post.
