As Syrian Force was attacked by some and forced to delete his topic, I am reposting it but here's things will be different as duel to some people posting off topics/personal attacks in the main topic i suppose i have the right to ask mods to stop this nonesense by either watching the thread out of scams when proved wrong or locking the thread and posting any counter argument in another thread
LINK: https://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=17795&topicsearch=&page=1 As we can see this have been a case since 2015 and there are too many players complaining about it yet nothing has happened and it has been the cause of battles like shown below(just little examples i'm sure there are worse) Currently the main issue with the battle system is its similarity to throwing a dice. For example a tank has an equal chance of dealing 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 damage on attack. This leads to a very wild variance in results. Too wild. Countless complaint threads over the years have revealed this to be a big source of frustration for players. My solution would be for a unit to be able to roll a minimum of half its' attack/defence stat. In the case of odd numbers you can halve it and round up so a standard militia for example with 3 attack will roll 2/3. This would reduce to roll variance significantly but still keep the fun random element. I have asked around and 25+ high ranks have supported me on this. The following is just 1 example of roll variance posted by a player in 2015. I can find countless others.
As said the random element of the game is great but it needs improvement. Lotto rolls are detrimental to the game and take away from the skill. I propose we could test this or something similar out on the test server. Its as simple as changing those codes if (maxAttack > 15 && attackRoll < maxAttack / 2) if (maxDefence > 15 && defenceRoll < maxDefence / 2) into: if (maxAttack >= 3 && attackRoll < maxAttack / 2) if (maxDefence >= 3 && defenceRoll < maxDefence / 2) combined with a new codes for both att/damage but i assume the attack one will look like this using some successive calculation yet this code will never work its just example to explain what im suggesting : if (maxAttack = 3or5or7or9etc) maxAttack = maxattack/2+1; ofc after enabling a new premium future button(fix rolls) in settings so that players can choose how ever they like the game to be and i doubt that will bug the rolls if combined by the other numbers as those are exceptional codes after all they will apply to everything i/many others ask to make this as premium future option to fix rolls to half so who ever wants to host a game/cw with rolls being with minimal of half can do it/not do it wont that already end this crisis and be fair? wont this stop people from crying about rolls mostly as its their choice to start the game with/without this option? i guess We(pros) deserve our own environment where we actually want to challenge each others not challenge neturals or illogical battles and i guess the noobs who risk (For example) sending 6bombers/3inf to moscow will change their game play as this will fail on 50/50% chance (cant you see that this increases the risk in the game and simply asks you to send more like a pro or fail like a noob?another example is that you have to send +12inf to kill 8 netural inf to have a better chance then 50/50% which will be reduced because of stack bonus in the attacker's favour... i cant really see how does that remove the luck from the game utterly it just asks you to be logical without being mindless person) thats not really something admins would take time doing i guess exprienced programmer can do it in 5minutes or less just see how people are complaining about it its not logical.. its really shame i deleted the previous thread it was legendary.... i thought that people want it like this but no people doesn't its just the few attention seekers troll wanna be who are commenting bs

no math think about it... 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 you removed 3 chances 1/2/3 for you and for your enemy do you think that will clear out the rolls thingy? we will still witness bullshits but in less ratio and the theory of "you should have probably sent more" of power planet will take a place in the other change trust me its never fair if someone will send 8bombers 3 inf and fail moscow while other sends 6bombers 2inf and wins which will be unlikely a win in the new system so retards have to be reasonable in this

i can see the appeal, but i can't avoid to think it will take away some excitement in the game, i don't believe randomness is a bad thing, the games i remember the most are the ones when you get those precious rolls you needed so desperately, and god it feels nice after 50 or so turns, because the system does the job relatively well, you don't actually know if you are going to win, unless you try ofcourse, if you remove the first 3 rolls, you will effectively be able to calculate the results beforehand
