I think mods' job would be a lot easier if mapmakers' ban system was changed. Here are the two major changes that I propose:

1. Let mapmakers pick one of the ban reasons from the list maintained by moderators. Optionally add an option "Other" that should be explained more than other sections.
2. Disallow mapmakers to ban without input evidence. Simple as that, they have to put evidence or they can't ban.

Please share your opinion about the proposed changes.

I prefer just a limited time like 2 weeks. After that time, the person will automatically get unbanned.
so you have enough time to think about your misbehaviour

That's a good idea, I second it. Yet I think we shouldn't let mapmakers ban for no reason and then waste mods' time on that shitty stuff.

Some people are pure waste of space and these bastards will keep coming back, no matter how many times you ban them, which is why, provided the '2 week setting' is implemented, there should be a checkbox for "Ban indefinitely", only to be used by mods( or Supps, if they want to do this!)

maybe we should start asking question as of why should map makers follow this rule anyways? that part of the terms of service doesn't apply to map makers that registered before certain date, so why should we follow ban list regulations at all? you disagree with the way i run my map? make your own, you have access to the same tools as everybody else..

Ok, so you and Unleashed made a map (Ultimate WWII Ressurected) on which I was banned with no evidence even though I have never played it, only because I am banned? Best logics of 2015.

Banning somebody from a map requires evidence and you can't just ban with no such reason. You agreed on the rule that moderators team can change the rules at any moment, so you have to follow the new rules.

This is like saying an drug law passed in your country 2 months ago does not apply to you because you were born 2 years ago when the law did not exist.

Go to the appeals forum then instead of complaining here..... that's what it's there for

i didn't agreed on such rule, they were added without the communities consent.
My maps are my property, my hard work, if you don't like how i run things you can make your own map. If you respect the map maker i can assure you that he would never ban you. Hundreds of different people play my maps, why is it that only a handful of people (can count them with 1 hand) are the ones always complaining about map maker abuse?

Many laws exist that only apply to people that were born after certain date, most of this laws are related to conscription or citizenship, but they are laws.

And many more laws exist that apply to everyone regardless of when they are born. The point is that just because a rule was added to the game after you registered doesn't mean that you don't have the follow it. Its still a rule and will still be enforced regardless of when you joined the game.

You're talking about laws that give you possibilities or require you to do something while we're talking about punishable laws. Military service law isn't same as drug law.

I don't have a problem with being banned on a map, but I don't want to be banned for a shitty reason with no evidence.

Although I believe a mapmaker should have the right to leave his/her map exclusive to whoever he/she wants how about the idea to have a time option for banning. So like when you ban someone from your maps you have the options of: 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 6 months, indefinitely, etc.
