How do you get free protocoins?

I bought some of the separate packs, I've got two left but i don't want to buy them, how can i earn free in gem protocoins. Ive heard about it.

Keep playing till it pops up in game "The winner of the game will be awarded ___protocoins!". No specific rate.

I've never got that, no matter how large the game is. Even then you only get from 0-50 I think, pretty much useless.

When i played un games i got them all the time but i havent got one outside a un game yet

The ProtoCoin drop rate may be affected by the amount of players in the game, so far I've only seen them come in games with more people in turn 30 and after while I haven't seen them at all in a small game with less than ten players.

Don't ask me how that's fair at all but unless UN goes rogue there are so incredibly few ProtoCoins for all those 20 noobs in the game.

Basically to encounter a random protocoins drop (at least from what I've heard not completely sure if it's accurate), the game needs to get to turn 30 and there must be at least 4000 sp in the sp pool. I've seen protocoin drops of around 250, I believe that the max is 300. hope this helps
