Why can't you defend allied cities with tour troops? Or seek shelter in an allys stack? Seems workable and would add realism.

The same question has been asked before and discussed, but yes, it would be realistic if you could merge to Armies of two nations the same place so they can defend alongside each other, afterall it wasn't only the Spartans who defended Thermopylae from the Persians.

That's kind of sad, but I suppose we'll just have to live with it and use different methods for defending each other as allies.

are you sure it isn't possible? if i'm not mistaken every army and every city is a variable in the whole code so normally 2 armies are just those 2 variables putted in a math thing and give you a winner so if you could program that the game first checks if the 2 armies are allied and if they are he counts them internally and puts that one in a new variable but for the outside (the players) there would still be the 2 separate armies. I think it's maybe hard to program and to keep it easy and make sure you don't create bugs (armies standing on the wrong side of the battle field) the programmers chose to not let 2 armies work together but behind the seen i think you could program it. But what would happen when you have 3 players A, B and C A is allied to B and B to C B's capital is Berlin A wants to help defend it and C wants to do that too that would means A and C have to fight each other but on who's side would B stand? so because of all this it would be hard to really make this come true

You can: 1.Wall the ally city. 2.Wall the ally stack. 3.Enter an allies cities if it has 0 units on it. 4.Attack alongside you ally. Like cutter said its not easy to code it. Might be added in the future but not now.

Bummer. Thx for explaining it, though PS- entering an ally's city (empty) would make it mine, right? Or can I hide in his city (without taking it) only if its empty?

If you take one of your allies' cities that have 0 units in it, it'll become yours, there is no such thing as ''hiding'' your units in an ally's city, unfortunately.

Bet a few snakes have used that trick to screw over allys (bypass the 2 turn wait to attack + immunity for those 2 turns to retaliation). Could that be done?

A+P: firends enemy; T i notice this happen if T" attack A'cities but P attack T stack. this will be 2 on 1 battle, but this is easy to do as the ally.
