I think there should be an option in the options menu that lets you enable and disable the After action report if you're spectating a game so that way people who don't want to see it while spectating don't have to and people who want it can see it. I think this is a good idea because sometimes it gets confusing what's going on when you're spectating a game and you want to see everything that happened (all battles).

I'm assuming by after action report you mean the Battle Log that comes with the start of each turn. The problem with this is that the spectators can analyze each players movements, and relay the information to other players in the game. For example, player A uses stealth units against Player B. Player C doesn't know this, but a spectator tells him, and now he knows player A uses stealth units. With this information, he can reasonably assume that player A is using a stealth strategy. Now, what people are probably thinking is, "All players can review the Battle Log." Yes, that's true, but not all players look at it. It's strategy, looking at the Battle Log. If you play casual games, this is sort-of necessary, but in the case of quick games, there just isn't enough time to look at it. Having a spectator to look at it for you is a disadvantage. Now, that being said I support your idea on improving the spectator system, but I think this is a better proposal: just let the spectators see the unit stack's movements. And we're still waiting on a spectator list so players in-game can see who's spectating.
