Really feeling Lost

Had this game for a week now. I'm just not ready to play another human just yet. Is there any solo player stuff? A box comes up and says its impossible to play solo as it's too hard. I have been looking at you tube, wiki's and of course the Forum. HELP!

It's not hard, it's impossible to win as in the victory condition requires you to kill someone to win the game. Try playing in the Beginner's lounge

I tried a new approach today in tutorial.

I aquired a middle area like Chiago and I just built infantry and air transports autobuild.


I then proceded to just go after Capitals(the star shaped cities) with 20+ armies and high value cities!

I took over North America pretty quick before the game crashed.

I don't quite get the "surrounding your cities with 1 infantry" approach?

But I am new to this.

It seems like you need a good case of OCD to be effective at that but what do I know.

It's ok, no one is born knowing everything. Tips:

Use tanks to capture cities, generally 1 tank more than the amount of infantry in the target city (and if it's militia, then one tank less)

Capturing the capitals give you that capital income and ability to produce units in that territory. You should also aim to capture the other cities of that territory, as they will supply you with more income and allow more units to be produced. Each city has a number of units (reinforcements) it can produce and a certain income.

The surrounding your cities with 1 unit probably means this:
