Ever have a ridiculous roll recently since the update? Now of course, strange and lucky rolls happen whether we want them or not but lately I've noticed a huge spike of these ridiculous rolls. Thus, costing me several duels. hue.

Here's an exact reenactment of a battle that costed me a game.

Me (Defending, strategy sky menace)
37 infantry (6 def +1 in city +1 with general = 8 def)
13 militia (4 def +1 with general = 5 def +1 hp with general = 8 hp)
14 bombers (5 def)
4 air transports (4 def)
General (1 def +2 critical hit to all units)

grand total 37*8 = 296
13*5 = 65
14*5 = 70
4*4 = 16
1*1 = 1
=== 448 def
not including critical hit

FSM (Attacking, strategy perfect defence) might actually be imp, would be even more ridiculous

50 inf and general

inf = 5 attack with the general

50*5 = 250 attack vs 448 DEFENSE WTF!!!

If he was IMP which I think he was, it would have been 200 attack vs 448 defense

I'm positive many have had strange rolls like this one I've had many more as well. Arb was actually a good and accurate system that was unique and creative. Critical hits atm is way out of whack and should be adjusted or replaced with Arb again.

Anyone feel the same?

Randomness is good, it means more skill is required because there are more uncertain and unfamiliar situations and less "sure" actions.

I agree there. And adding arb back will still have the uncertainty factor while still having a bit of realism. the current system is out of whack.

I don't have a problem with things like this happening sometimes... sometimes an army just performs brilliantly. But because the CH gives such a boost, yeah I think the results it can produce are probably too extreme. Maybe the critical hit bonus should be half an attack rather than a full one?

Also, maybe the critical hits should be based on 100% rather than 0%, to give certain units more dependability, such as "Marines"
