i assume you quoted this because you interpret it to be a contradiction. What is really as funny as hell, is that it is not and you just made yourself look like a tool.

I believe the idea is that clovis finds ridiculous your assertion that you can play "all the strategies" to perfect efficiency, when you "never" use certain strategies and therefore have no observations of your own performance with those strategies. In the absence of further information (which you are welcome to supply), I'm inclined to say that what clovis pointed out indeed is a contradiction.

Back on topic, I really don't understand why this is such a big argument. Trying to reasonably determine which strategy is stronger is going to go exactly nowhere, as the years of arguing by top players about strategies on this forum amply demonstrates. Just have the game log what strategies players play the most often and boost/nerf the ones that are used not often enough or too often for varied play. In this situation, statistics is probably a much stronger argument than throwing about random facts about the tactics suited for each strategy.

Impressive if you've managed to dominate BeSerok 4 out of 5 games (you did not, I just checked). I've also applauded you in that thread for having a positive W:L ratio against Soldier, one of my hardest opponents. Was it after or before the movement dilution theory? Don't know but well done either way.

Also, blitz was the pre-gw on Africa. Old Afterwind players used it before GW due to it's militia range. You cant really point a strategy being good on it's niche as a reason to Nerf it.

And are you for real? Old afterwind players new to the game playing blitz africa lol. Africa is not and never was a blitz niche. Even at - 1 defence it still wasnt great but it could cause big problems for gw specifically on slowroll. It was hilarious to do. I recently beat someone with ds in 3k. Does that make 3k a ds niche? nooooo. Its just making the right moves in the right situation.

You'd need around 1.5x more troops than PD can get in order to it being "better". Even then, PD infantries would still get the battle stacking bonus due to the att/def value being considered more than the numbers. 50 PD inf would defend better than 100 Blitz militias in this case.




I would do a little test stacking Kiev with both Blitz and PD against a PD Turkey Rush... but then you would claim that I didnt played the strat "efficiently enough".. So how about if we do this test together?

Actually no, those tests are completely irrelevant to how blitz performs on defence with a general. The general has a huge effect in this case as +1 def and hp is extremely significant to to 3 def militia(the def more than the hp). How about we do the tests before you start making assumptions on my reactions to the results?

Actually no, read my post again. I was talking about using blitz and duels and not hw or lb. It is pedantic nitpicking by clovis in order to find contradictions to undermine my post. It is pathetic but he always pulls this kind of nonsense. Also note how these guys are all upvoting each other too. Its pretty funny.

But yes the strategy statistics are obviously recorded. It would be great to see them displayed.

It would be a stronger argument but to an experienced player who understands how hp att def and crit work and interact with each other, you give them an entirely new strat and they would be able to theorise pretty effectively how well it will work in game. Unless ofc it is wildly different and introduces different mechanics.

I've probably played hw a handful of times. Awful strat. Lb quite a bit more but never competitively.

Laochra, you are just rekting yourself by your own posts. You always make a direct contradiction to your main fact. If you won 2 out of 6 games, then how you dominated somebody? Rushes are so easily to be predicted, especially if you played him more than once.

Since I'm getting these militia for free and its difficult to get any sizeable income in parts like africa and south america, I have actually been using the blitzkrieg strat so that I can use those militia as offensive units. This either kills them, giving me more money for offensive units such as tanks, or I take cities with them, increasing my income. I think the guerilla warfare strat has some considerable weight and would love to see something like this implemented.

His comment made a lot of sense. There were others but I don't remember exactly on which thread.

As for blitz, I agree it needs a boost. It's absolutely horrible for slowrolling, can't hold anything it takes. I play blitz a fair amount actually, but when I end up being blitz Volga in 5k 3v1ing some newbs using RA I don't stand a chance even though I have full Russia. It's really fun to play, but has no value in the default map, or most maps for that matter.

I get that it's not really supposed to be a slowroll strat, and I'm not asking for that, but I'm asking for it to be able to continue hitting and running without getting decimated to a few tanks or helis.

I'd love to see back the blitz that Cthulhu spoken once. The one that relies on walls.... the recent defensive lines upgrades might open the door for an appropriated boost to blitzkrieg, though right now it's very risky to mess around with.

Croat can probably give a better answer than me, but its not to hard. Mostly a normal turn one taking the balkans plus the little countries because every troop counts. Turn two spam inf/milita and get them into Instanbul/varna. Then turn three you can rush with that huge stack because PD milita can reach Kiev with general.

I tested PD rushing on Kiev minus walls for balkans, Greece, ankara and stuff... was something like 115 mixed. Others have managed similar.

I am rather similar to a western politician in the sense that I sometimes take a long time to use a lot of words saying that which, in the end, means precisely nothing. I'm afraid that this is an old habit of mine, which I never quite lost, that I first formed when I was just starting to learn English. I often had to discuss for minutes in my classes when I had neither the vocabulary nor the grammatical understanding to creatively express complex ideas in the English language but still had to impress the instructor in those few minutes.

What if we gave blitz another 10% wall size to compansate for it terrible defence? Something alon the lines of that could bring blitz back into signifigance.
