I won't say much about this, but I do admit RP tends to be 'cancerous' in a way because very often the playerbase doesn't have the skill required or simply does not follow the map rules. However, it's the mapmakers task to control its map and put its playerbase in check. To ban the rulebreakers, and through the map, educate its playerbase to play it accurately as its intended and to follow rules.

I've read some diss's and trashtalks about me in this thread from people I have on mute of whom I won't comment, because they are irrelevant and deserve no attention, but perhaps a carehome


At least, I'm making an effort to reverse the current stage of RP, and I've got some innovative ideas coming up with my new map which I hope will change RP, and change it for the better. I do agree with some of the things that were said here, RP is 'cancerous' in a way, but so are WW1 and some GGG's by some mapmakers, for instance. In the end, it all comes down to how the mapmaker acts and how he keeps his playerbase in check. That's what I intend on doing when my map is released.

ik yk this but if u make a mapp that LOOKS and FEELS like embers or classic world rp, and then actually balance it to where it provides good gameplay but keep the basic rp rules, THIS is what we are talking about by making rp that requires skill

I thought this game was about having fun, not about "skill". Sure, the rp community is cancerous at times (most of the time), but I love rp as once in a while you DO get that one game that's so good you want to rewind and play it again.

I believe that anyone who decides to host an RP should set the rank limit to 6. At this point they have gained basic skills, and have a chance at surviving in the wild west that is atwar. Too bad mapmakers can't set a rank limit for the scenario themselves.

I actually believed you want some "greater good" for the community after your last proposal that got lots of support for some unknown reason, but you don't.

1. Your proposing things out of personal need, not really what makes sense for the community.
i.e. Map proposal since you recently published a new map, and of course like any map maker - they want players to play it, but without taking into consideration that fact that premium sales would decrease and PC sales would likely not increase since people will use the PCs they have saved up, not actually buy new ones.

2. Your up vote farming (I really believe this).
You proposing this thread is completely a clear indication, your not out to solve anything but simply create hate around a topic that's already an atWar punching bag for quick and easy upvotes. I see no way how RP affects your game play (unless you play RP too), and why do you care if they hate or not - if you find your self in lobbies with them, you should reconsider the kind of games you are hosting/playing.

In conclusion, don't throw hate at a community (RP) for personal reasons. If you find these "angry RPers" in your games, ban them.

@ MODS:
Remember this rule that you all use in 10 sec flat to lock any thread about you (its a guideline):
"Don't post about moderators on forums. Our moderators are humans too, and they do occasionally make mistakes. However players are warned against making thread about moderator actions on forum or in public chat channels. Threads about moderator actions will be instantly locked without warning. If you have an issue with a moderator, PM them privately or another moderator to help sort the issue."

Lets follow this rule too with just as much energy, after all the rules were created by moderators:
"3.2 Petition posts are frowned on. If you have an issue with the game, please discuss it in a civil and informed fashion, staff members reserve the right to lock or delete petitions."
- Nothing civil in this thread, no solutions offered, I just see specific players hating/arguing with/against other player with meaning less trash talk. Hardly call that "civil/informed".
