I had 5 aas kill 24 helis once.

Aas will only kill helies in those great numbers if you have stack bonus. The problem is that you usually dont have enough unit to have AA roll that high. Generally AA will kill helies ~1:1 to 1:2

AA kill 1-2 helies...sometimes good rolls can kill 3 max

As a sidenote, DS was never meant to be, or played defensively. It makes sense that the applied boost didn't stopped it from being a viable choice (hence why no rants once it was applied).

The complains have always been about it's capacity to kill infantries (which is the strategy's top feature). They just targeted the wrong stat. Still, I'd rather let them believe that they achieved something with the Nerf. It's quite amusing to see them using the same arguments that we used against them before.

From the games i had lately, i think that now ds isnt broken. Its annoying af to play against and strong for sure, but its not like RA for example, back then when you actually couldnt play properly against it.
With ukraine it heavily depends on turn 1 and with poland to annoy ukr/ger, its possible to counter it with italy or volga.
Some very small nerf could be something to think about but its far from being necessary.
