Getting notified about the same inquiry

In this example, Google Chrome has upvoted a question by a player - he has the same question and wants an answer to it.

What if instead of looking up the topic where you upvoted someone's post, you'd get notified about replies to this post you've upvoted on the topic by clicking "Watch Topic" or a second upvote button.

That would certainly:

Allow you to find out what matters to you more easily;

Get rid of the hassle associated with having to look up posts you've upvoted( see example above)

--clicking Watch Topic is the current setting.
But I'm open to suggestions and will edit my post accordingly.

It should be 2 different kind of upvote.1 if you like the players idea or post and 1 if you have the same question or have found the same bug.Also you should be able to do both.Btw brilliant

Yes, two different kinds of ' upvote' I had in mind originally.
But to not confuse people - I made it so existing buttons were used, namely "Watch Topic" .

Yeah, great idea. It would be great having a notification like, "Player quoted the post you upvoted in here."

Yes, but only if player checked in his >profile>settings the option "Recieve PM when upvoted thread has been quoted"... or something like that. Not by default, to avoid inbox "spam" if not desired.

A universal option, i.e., that there is a single button for all threads isn't a good option as that will mean - getting notified about things you don't want to be notified about, that is, those you simply agree with.


However, my original idea is to somehow mark the topic where you upvoted a post and then get notified.

The other proposals include, so far, a second upvote button.
