Indeed it failed once that's why we've changed some settings and allowed casual game

This has been attempted twice before and it has never worked. It might work as a casual. But i dislike the way casuals start at t1 where players have 0 reins and those not stranded on islands can expand.

i think the flexibility of having both quick and casual available, as well as having backups and less countries (I think) + only accepting the generally active players (which might have been done before idk) might just allow everyone to pull it off, but we'll see

alternatively, if it seems that the players per country ratio is too sparse, we could go with Darth's idea and sort of do regions, ie UK+Ireland, continental western Europe, the Maghreb, Egypt+Levant, the Caribbean, central Africa, far east Asia, Oceania, etc - although I think people would agree that just countries gives it a better flavor
