Not in my Game anymore

I started a casual game, aka hosting it, about 2 hrs ago, turn 1 has not ended yet, still waiting for more players, only 1 other player has joined so far, and now I am no longer registered as being in the game. In the lobby it says there is only one player in the game and it's not me, but if I click on the game, it shows my country and I am in the player list, but it is asking me to join and will not allow me to interact with the game in any way, just as if I was not in it. What happened? Can another player, who is not the host, kick me out of a game I started? Is it just a glitch/bug or what?

You might have clicked the abandon game button instead of the go to lobby button when you first left the game. This would mean that you would no longer be in the game, but your country would remain and you would remain in the playerlist until the next turn.

Yeah, there is that, and hmmmmm......... coulda happened just like that. Thank you Riddler, for pointing out the most likely thing to go wrong ...........user error.
