Sending money?

My friend sent me money in a game when I told him I was all out of money, but I never saw my money go up. I can't remember how much he sent, but let's just say he sent me for example about 5000. He said he saw the money leave from his total balance, but I never saw mine rise by 5000. Is this a bug or do I need to redeem the money somewhere?

If he quit the game before the turn ended, it will show that the money left his account, but without him being connected at the end of the turn, you won't receive it from him.
IF he did stay, you would have received the money with the rest of your income... no special action is required.

To add to what Brianwl said, if he had ended turn and then sent the money without saving later on, they would still not be sent.

To add to what both of them said, maybe your friend just didn't want to fund you.

Or you may have negative income
