Issue setting rank requirements for a game.

So my friend is new to this game, and I want to have a 1v1 to teach him how the game works, but every time I host a game in beginner's lobby and i set the min/max rank at 0-16, he is unable to join, getting repeated error messages informing him that the minimum required rank is 1, despite me setting it at 0. Any help on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

I just tested out exactly what you just explained and I had no problem joining a private game as a rank 0. Perhaps the password was wrong? Try sending him the link to the game instead of having him input the password. That might help.
