The world map. The foundation of atwar. A lot was lost when custom maps and scenarios came along. Only a small number are of a decent quality. Once upon a time everyone had to start on the world map. You had to learn how to expand and play every strat. Now new players are often dumped into horrible rp maps and bad scenarios. As a result the quality and skill level of new high rank players has declined and many of them can't handle basic standard settings. It's sad.

RotK, the map is a masterwork, the unitlist is the most delicate and elaborate in all of AtWar. Every faction plays differently. Other maps are far more basic and can be remade easily.

Indeed, we had to learn, but also 4-unit wall was the norm and no one was willing to give up on blitz Also that's like going back to Opel after Cadillac.
Now it sounds like we're promoting ROTK, but speaking of unitlist, Pyrrhus said the editor is limiting him to create more and better units... so if/when Dave upgrade editor, we can have even better ROTK
